About VPPlant

Why did you decide to participate in the program? What did you expect? Did you reach the goals you have set for yourself and your company?

Launching our service on the German market is the priority for 2019/2020. Our primary need was to understand better the local environment before we proceed to direct business development. The program fully satisfied our requirements.
Establishing a relationship with the BPWT office was equally important as such contacts enable us to ask for general guidance regarding the German market whenever any need occurs.

Did you have any program highlight? Which kind of information did you use right away after the End of the program?

Two practical workshop presentations – by Ofira Engelberg and Fabian Leipelt.
Introductory meetings with local companies, eg. E.ON, Schneider Electric etc.

Can you share with us any lessons learned?

Leverage acceleration programs run by the major players – as the certificate of eligibility to establish co-operation with specific business units.
Not all venture capital is based in London. Berlin is also interesting market for looking for investors.
Mittelstände, stupid. Do not forget about 1/3 of the German wealth by focusing exclusively on largest players.

What makes Berlin so special and which kind of contacts and networks did you meet during your stay?

Extremely vibrant business environment – it is worthwhile to be in Berlin to benefit from the creativity of local society and move your project forward.

What did you achieve in Berlin since the end of the program?

We managed to cultivate established contacts, to follow up after the summer period.

What will be your next steps?

We will leverage our participation in the program to reach out to major players in Berlin and Brandenburg region. As soon as we establish our first business leads on the German soil, we will launch a local office in Berlin.

What would you recommend to startups interested in participating in the program?

Prepare your own agenda carefully. There is plenty of time to run your individual meeting agenda – use this time to complement the program with own business development agenda.
